We are a team of officially 6 staff, but being a third generation family company, at times there can be a few more of us with "little people" helping out from time to time! Many of our team have been working in this industry for well over 20 years, some have spent the majority of their working life in this field and are commonly referred to as experts!
Mike Joyce was our Managing Director and also longest serving employee of the company for over 40 years! He very sadly passed away in January 2019 after passionately moving the company away from its original retail structure to the successful wholesale business it is now. Mike was an incredible boss, mentor, father and husband and is hugely missed at Michael Joyce Ltd - however his legacy lives on within the company.
Jenny is a director of the company and has been actively with the organization since 1993. Her role within the company is varied, she likes to focus on the creative side of product presentation and display when time allows. She always enjoys her visits to the European trade fairs to catch up with the latest trends and new products. She is an awesome golfer, fantastic snow skier, talented tennis player, magnificient water skier, pilates guru and all round sports star - or so she says!!
Kristin has been with the company for the last 20 years but has pretty much grown up in the industry as she is Mike and Jenny's daughter. She has cleaned many shop windows as a pre schooler, swept alot of warehouse floors, dusted showrooms and worked in different retail shops during High School and University. She now works in all areas of the business with a focus financial control, new business development and our Australian market. She also has three children young children which keep her busy outside of the office when she is not working.
Matt has also grown up in the industry as Mike and Jenny's son, and he has been actively working at Michael Joyce Ltd for 15 years. These days he is responsible for key accounts throughout New Zealand and is often in store providing demonstrations or sales expertise. He also works closely with our offshore suppliers and travels to Europe to visit trade shows and the factories. He is passionate about our products and how to sell them successfully. With two young kids, Jax and Remi, he is always busy outside the office
Chantelle has been with the company since 1994 and has worked full time and part time depending on family commitments. She has a varied role, some of which includes working with our reward programme customers, stock control, customer enquiries, the in house production of sales catalogues and helping with the maintenance of our website. Away from work Chantelle is busy with her family enjoying camping, tramping and the outdoors.
Daniela works alongside her husband, Matthew, focusing on sales and online customer care at Michael Joyce Ltd. She works closely with our customers and sales partners, bringing warmth, energy and meticulous attention to everything she does. As a mother to two young children, Jax and Remi, Daniela balances family life. She is passionate about the brands we represent and takes great pride in ensuring every customer receives genuine, personal service.
