Where can I buy Zassenhaus salt and pepper mills in New Zealand?
Michael Joyce is the official Zassenhaus distributor in New Zealand. Who is Zassenhaus?
Zassenhaus is a German kitchenware brand founded by Robert Zassenhaus in 1867, with more than 150 years of craftsmanship behind it. It began making its own grinding mechanisms in 1877, its first coffee mills in 1887 and its first pepper mills in 1904. Today Zassenhaus is based in Solingen, Germany.
Can I use a Zassenhaus mill for salt as well as pepper?
Most Zassenhaus mills use a ceramic grinding mechanism that is harder than steel, wear-resistant and corrosion-free, so it won't rust when grinding salt. Mills like the Westerland and the Köln USB grinder are suitable for peppercorns, salt crystals, spices and dried herbs. Check each product description to confirm what your mill is designed for.
What guarantee comes with a Zassenhaus mill?
Zassenhaus manual salt and pepper mills, such as the Westerland and Aachen, come with a 25-year guarantee on the grinding mechanism. The Köln USB electric grinders have a 10-year guarantee on the mechanism. In New Zealand, all Zassenhaus warranty claims are handled locally by the team at Michael Joyce Ltd. Which Zassenhaus end grain chopping block should I choose?
Zassenhaus end grain chopping blocks come in sustainably sourced oak, acacia and rubberwood. Choose the extra-large End Grain Oak block (54 × 30 × 4 cm) for carving and big prep sessions, End Grain Acacia for rich, warm tones, or End Grain Rubberwood for a lighter look.
