Rosenthal NZ: frequently asked questions

Where can I buy Rosenthal dinnerware in New Zealand?

Michael Joyce is the official Rosenthal distributor in New Zealand. Shop the Rosenthal Junto range online at michaeljoyce.co.nz, including plates, bowls, serving platters, mugs, a teapot and a 16-piece dinner set, with free NZ delivery and 14-day returns.

Is Rosenthal Junto dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. Rosenthal Junto is made from high-quality porcelain fired at high temperatures, and it's both dishwasher and microwave safe. It's designed to be used every day, not saved for special occasions.

Why does each Rosenthal Junto piece look slightly different?

Junto pieces are finished with a specially developed colour glaze that pools differently over the subtle relief in the porcelain, creating light and dark tones. That gives every plate, bowl and mug its own colour flow and a handcrafted, organic look. No two pieces are exactly the same.

Can I mix and match Rosenthal Junto colours?

Absolutely. Rosenthal Junto is designed to mix and match. In New Zealand it's available in White, Opal Green, Pearl Grey and Ocean Blue. Try white dinner plates with Ocean Blue side plates for a coastal Kiwi table, or layer Opal Green and Pearl Grey for a relaxed, earthy look.

Who is Rosenthal?

Rosenthal is a German porcelain maker founded in 1879 in Selb, Bavaria. It's known for working with leading artists and designers to create modern tableware, combining German porcelain craftsmanship with contemporary design. Junto is one of its most popular modern collections.
