Where can I buy Cilio coffee makers and kitchenware in New Zealand?

You can buy Cilio online from Michael Joyce, a New Zealand family business, at michaeljoyce.co.nz. Does the Cilio stovetop espresso maker work on induction?

Yes. The Cilio Adriana Stovetop Espresso Maker is made from polished stainless steel and works on all cooktops, including induction. On some induction hobs, a small pot may be below the minimum size the element detects, so check your cooktop's minimum pan size. The 6-cup Adriana makes about 200 ml, or six 50 ml espressos.

How do I make coffee in a stovetop espresso maker?

Fill the base with hot water up to just below the safety valve. Fill the filter basket with medium-fine ground coffee, level it off without pressing it down, and screw the pot together firmly. Heat on medium-low with the lid open. When the coffee starts to gurgle and turns pale, take it off the heat and serve straight away. Hand wash your Cilio espresso maker in warm water after use.

How long does the Cilio Firenze insulated jug keep drinks hot?

The Cilio Firenze insulated jug keeps drinks hot for up to 12 hours and cold for up to 24 hours, thanks to its tempered glass insulating insert. It holds 950 ml, so it's ideal for a pot of coffee at the office, tea for the whole family, or iced water on a hot Kiwi summer's day.

How do I care for Cilio olive wood utensils?

Cilio Toscana olive wood utensils are handmade from dense, fine-grained Mediterranean olive wood. Hand wash them in warm soapy water, don't soak them, and dry them completely. Never put them in the dishwasher. Rub them with a little food-safe mineral oil now and then to stop the wood drying out and cracking, especially in winter when heat pumps and fires dry the air.
