Is Kaiser bakeware made in Germany?

Kaiser is a German bakeware brand founded in 1919, and it develops and manufactures its bakeware in Germany, at its production site in Diez an der Lahn. Kaiser says it launched the first non-stick baking pan in 1968 and the first springform pan with a completely smooth base. Kaiser has been part of the WMF Group since 2002.

What size springform pan should I buy?

A 24 cm springform pan is the most versatile everyday size, serving about 10 to 12 people. Choose 20 cm for smaller cakes (6 to 8 servings), 26 cm for larger cakes and cheesecakes (12 to 14 servings), or 28 to 30 cm for celebrations (14 to 20 servings). If your recipe names a size, use that size for the best results.

Is a Kaiser springform pan leakproof?

No springform pan with a removable base is completely watertight. Kaiser La Forme Plus pans have a base slightly larger than the ring to help prevent leaks. For thin batters or a water bath (bain-marie) for cheesecake, sit the springform inside a slightly larger metal pan. Before first use, close the clasp, fill the pan with water and leave it for ten minutes to check the seal.

How do I care for Kaiser non-stick bakeware?

Hand wash Kaiser bakeware in warm water with a soft cloth, and avoid abrasive pads and metal scourers. Dry it thoroughly and store springform rings and bases together so they keep their fit. Let cakes cool briefly before opening the clasp. Only cut on the cut-resistant enamel base of La Forme Plus pans; with other Kaiser pans, slide the cake onto a board or plate before slicing
