Who is PHILIPPI?

PHILIPPI is a German design brand founded in 1992 by Jan Philippi near Hamburg. It's known for turning everyday objects into distinctive pieces for the home, with reduced forms, lasting style and often a touch of humour. PHILIPPI designs are developed in Germany, sold in more than 70 countries, and have won international design awards, including a Red Dot Award for the Cascara bowl.

Is PHILIPPI a good gift idea?

Yes. PHILIPPI is one of our most popular gift brands in New Zealand for weddings, housewarmings, birthdays, Christmas and corporate gifts. Popular choices include the Curiosa and Bella vases, Zak and Shadow picture frames, the Garry steak knife set, the Wave cheese knife set and the Brick salad servers.

Can PHILIPPI lanterns be used outdoors?

Yes. PHILIPPI Louisiana lanterns are made from durable powder-coated iron and suit both indoor and outdoor spaces, from the deck and patio to the dining table. They're designed for pillar candles. To keep them looking their best, wipe them dry after rain and store them under cover over winter, especially near the coast.

How do I care for PHILIPPI products?

Hand wash PHILIPPI knives, cheese sets and salad servers and dry them straight away. Wipe vases, frames, bowls and lanterns with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers, which can scratch stainless steel and powder-coated finishes. Check each product page for specific care instructions.
